Gamble knew when you were happy.
He knew when you were comfortable
. He knew when you felt confident, and he always knew when you had carrots.
Presenting Gamble’s tail, affixed to an attractive maple shaft and capped proudly at both ends with sterling silver, the knop beautifully and whimsically inscribed ‘Gamble, A Faithful Servant, 1903-1915’. Gamble was obviously well loved, his hair tinged with a hint of chestnut remaining in wonderful condition today, and what’s more it now proves bloody useful, especially during those fly infested summer days and nights.
But, enough of all that. To finish, a quote by Will Rogers:
“You know horses are smarter than people. You never heard of a horse going broke betting on people”
But, William, this horse was called Gamble?...
