The cast alabaster wall mask of a lion’s head, highly stylised, mounted to a green serpentine marble base with iron ring hanging attachment, and surviving from the last decade of the twentieth century.

The condition of the mask is good with no losses or chips. It is signed verso RBC no.16, 10.Jun.95. It is probably modelled after a recognisable mask.

The piece is well cast, and the materials used are of a good quality.

An inexpensive way of adding classical clout to any wall.
