The mid-Victorian period pine carcass of good size with a fabulous period black painted finish, the moulded rounded top over an arrangement of five graduated drawers, two short over three long, with the original knob handles to each, the whole sitting on a plinth base.

The whole is perfectly serviceable, the drawers glide smoothly, and the whole proves sturdy and in good original order. The paintwork is naturally distressed in the right places. We have waxed her to retain the current patina and finish.

Uncontrived paint never goes out of fashion.
