The well-proportioned oak framed library or easy armchair being horsehair stuffed with the original cigar brown leather button upholstered back to swept tapering arms and scrolled back to barrel turned front legs and chamfered back legs, the whole surviving from the second quarter of nineteenth century France.

The chair remains in useable and solid order though has a handful of tears as photographed. We can patch these as required with our upholsterer if required. One of the front feet is a later replacement as such is slightly different to the other. It could also be raised on castors if so desired. The chair is priced accordingly with room to make these alterations and repairs if so desired.

A scarce find in this finish, and just as pleasing on the eye as the…well, arse.
