The art studio table of desk like proportions constructed of black painted pine and hailing from a disused art studio in Nancy, north eastern France, the whole having block legs and a central drawer for brushes and other instruments with the original brass cup handle, the planked top showing an abundance of colour and character as a myriad of paint flecks, being untouched from its heavy use by an artist throughout the early part of the twentieth century, in Nancy, France.

She remains in a good untouched and original state and has been simply waxed to protect her idiosyncrasies. There are paint flecks to the whole, not just the top and the black painted finish to the legs is worn in some areas as are the table edges though this is of course all desirable, and expected, all in the right places. The drawer slides smoothly and she is sturdy and sound.

This table would have been part of the daily life of the artist for decades and as such it proves to be like a flipbook, animating a relatively normal table into a tableau of creative activity, making it a unique table or desk for the creative.
