The very decorative painted console table in a pistachio green/blue, fashioned in the French Louis XVI style of the period with gilt wood frieze of carved garlands with masks under a gadrooned frieze, surmounting four circular reeded and tapering legs with stiff acanthus leaf terminals, united by a low x-framed stretcher centring a carved urn , the top being painted to simulate exotic specimen marbles and surviving from the zeniths of late eighteenth century northern Italy.

The table is in very good overall condition; there is not a great deal of movement or fragility and there are no major flaws or deficiencies to note. There is a consistent wear commensurate with age to the painted surfaces as photographed, with no major losses to the carved extremities.

A wonderfully decorative table that do not appear on the open market all too often.
