The late Victorian period armchair having the wonderful original upholstered carpet moquette velour in royal navy blue with gold and rose highlights and piping, the whole well sprung on an oak carcass sitting on turned legs with original ceramic pot castors.

In fair to good condition, the chair has survived pretty well in its ripe old age though has obviously been well loved. There is wear to the upholstery, particularly to the arms and middle seat, as photographed, where there is a horizontal rip to each one and a puncture to the seat underneath each arm. As is the case with these beautiful chairs there is usually some trade off in being able to retain the original upholstery. The springing is in super order and structurally she is sound with the legs and castors all operational and sturdy with the underside having been re-webbed.

In a harder to find colour and a beautiful and cosy piece of chic Victoriana.
