The early twentieth century boudoir doll having a suede body and suede covered papier-mache head with painted features, wearing her original pink and white silk dress with sky blue banding to gold painted stilettoes, her silk braided golden hair in the typical 1920s headphone style, surviving from the first quarter of the twentieth century.

In completely original order, her costume is slightly tired as one would expect but is completely original with some discolouration to parts but does not suffer from loss or damage with only area of loss to the right thumb and other areas of wear as photographed.

Impressionistic of seductive, long-limbed ladies, boudoir dolls were produced mainly in France and Spain between 1920 and 1930. Unlike most dolls they were made to be placed on beds and in boudoirs. The dolls today are sought after because of their classic artistic styling and, often, their art deco look.

Pretty in pink.
