The low chest of drawers, having two short over two long drawers, the treacle coloured oak carcass with a moulded edged top and the original turned ebony handles sits on shortened bracket feet.

There have been one or two structural repairs, the whole with an abundance of character and a superb evocative patina. The chest’s feet have been shortened meaning it is now lower but this aside it remains in an original state and has been professionally waxed by us with the draws all gliding comfortably.

Of compact proportions this is a rogue of a chest with a rough around the edges type of character and one whose appearance has changed very little since the time it was crafted.
