A Large Banner Section of Tri-Colour Vintage Cotton Fabric

SOLD

Origin: British
Period: Early-Twentieth Century
Provenance: Unknown
Date: c.1910-30
Height: 45 inches
Width: 122 inches

Offering a multipurpose three metre piece of thin, soft fabric in the colours of the British or indeed French flags, with general sunlight fade to the colours.

Sourced from an old suitcase containing bunting, fabric and British flags, the genuine fade on the material makes this piece of fabric tell it’s own story. It was most likely used to celebrate victory in the streets of Britain following the war, in tandem with bunting and flags.

A versatile textile that could be draped, cut, framed, thrown or flown.
