The early twentieth century set of five matching X-framed pine chairs with slatted backs, painted in electric and sky blues, with traces of red, each now worn commensurate with use.

The chairs all show a consistent amount of wear to the seats and backs, with one chair having some loss to one of the stretchers. They are otherwise in super original condition and all collapse down as designed. There are red painted numbers to most giving us the impression they were either used in a travelling show capacity or perhaps rented on the beachfront or seaside. They appear to have been painted red in the first instance and there are at least three layer of paint of two or three.

Designed to be used outside, we think these would work just as well around the kitchen table. Tres chic.
