The black japanned brass hinged lidded box having enamel foliate and floral decoration consisting of blue and pink rosettes and tulips amongst green leafed sprayed branches.

The condition of the box is good with no loss or damage to the decoration and the hinges in fine order, though the lid doesn’t quite sit flush but it is a very marginal misalignment. There is a patch of wear to the japanning to the underside of the lid.

This is an effortlessly pretty example, with a bohemian feel, in an appealing size making it a pleasant gift for a loved one.
