The low and compact Victorian period armchair having an upholstered floral carpet moquette in gold on a burgundy ground with gold piping, the whole well sprung on an oak carcass sitting on short turned legs with original ceramic castors.

In fair to good condition, the chair has survived pretty well in its ripe old age though has obviously been well loved. There is wear to the upholstery, particularly to the arms and one small repair to the lower front. The upper reverse has been re-tacked and is rather tatty with losses and may benefit some attention but the moquette overall is in good condition. The springing is in super order and structurally she is sound with the legs and castors all operational and sturdy.

Granny chic at its best this is a hugely charming and inviting chair that proves incredibly difficult not to sit in.
