The very attractive George III period walnut cushion framed wall mirror of rectangular form with inset bevelled plate within a moulded surround, the mirror plate showing beautiful clouding, foxing and patination, the whole surviving from the first quarter of the nineteenth century.

The mirror is in very original, attractive, decorative aged condition. The plate glass is in tact and has attractive foxing across the whole, though is still clear enough to be used as intended. It may be a later plate than that of the frame, perhaps nineteenth century. The walnut has a super colour and there are no losses with some bubble lifting in places. The reverse shows much of the original boards remaining.

Beautifully understated.
