The amply proportioned walnut veneered wall mirror having the original heavy plate mercury bevelled glass, the arch shaped reeded surround surmounted by a cornice.
Once having been the central section of a very large three-piece dressing mirror or wardrobe, the sides bear brass-locking plates to which other sections would have been attached. The quality walnut veneers have very little loss and an excellent patina and colour, the glass showing a desirable amount of age, expected of this period.
This piece has just the right amount of foxing and character whilst also remaining eminently useful to be just the ticket for hall, bedroom, bathroom or landing.
