The octagonal shaft with an all over lattice design, with a beaded gilt metal slide to propel the pencil, and a similar gilt metal ring at the pencil end. The shaft terminates with a charming scrolling mount, in which is set a cut ruby glass.
A lovely ornate example of the propelling pencil, in good condition and complete with lead.
