The lacquered golden blonde walnut frame having shaped arms and square tapering front legs, with applied figured walnut veneers and stamped 'WT' to one rear sabre leg, the gold and ivory damask floral fabric seat and curved back with padded flanks.

The chair remains in good condition, with the upholstery in fine order and the wood without infestation or damage. The webbing has been recently re strung. To the back of the rear sabre legs there is some bubbling to the laquer. We are unsure of the makers name.

The term Art Deco encompasses the distinctive styles in art, architecture and design, and is typified by bright bold colours, and stylized designs derived from the onset of industrialism, as well as artistic movements such as modernism, cubism, and futurism. It is one of the best loved, most influential, instantly recognisable, international, and elegant of all artistic periods.

A chair with real style, but not without substance, the proof being in how very comfortable it is.
