The rectangular steel top over an elegantly shaped industrial base with four tapering legs, the whole with an attractive patination of rusting and wear to the black paint, showing in parts the metal below, the carcass with nut and bolt fixings, surviving from the middle section of twentieth century England.

The table is in decorative condition, there are no major flaws or deficiencies to note. The top has a nice patina and worn sheen as do the legs which show craquelure to them, with both having a commensurate amount of rusted wear associated with exterior use. It is stable and sound structurally.

Useful, practical, edgy and timeless are all words that express what industrial furniture has come to mean and like traditional antiques they improve with age and the distress that comes hand in hand with their daily use.

This table effortlessly combines elegancy with edge; very striking indeed.
