The heavy white painted, now paled to ivory, cast iron urn with fluted and lobed tapering flared body on a square pedestal base survives from the last quarter of the nineteenth century.

The whole is in well-aged condition with the paint now flaking commensurate with age and weathering and structurally she is sound.

Cast iron urns were produced in large quantities, the most noteworthy from the Coalbrookedale foundry, which this may well be from. This particular example is heavy cast so structurally it remains true.

An urn of real quality that has just touched down from a well-established garden.
