The very decorative and rather unusual convex Deco wall clock retaining the original amber, black and forest green paintwork and classic hand painted black art deco styled numbers, now with a quartz movement and replacement hands, the whole surviving from the second quarter of twentieth century England.

The clock is in working order having had a new quartz movement fitted. The pitting and wear to the paint makes it tremendously decorative, almost akin to a surface on some far-out planet.

We cannot find a comparable clock, although Heals, for example, made convex clocks starting in the late twenties.

A hugely evocative clock in a very striking colour and very much of this unmistakable period.
