In totally original condition, the stained spindle backed chair of small proportions with shaped seat and H-shaped stretcher survives from the late Victorian period.

There are no structural issues with the chair, it has no signs of worm and there are no repairs evident. The paint stain is original to the piece and has worn commensurate with age and usage. There is a makers label to the underside.

A chair in the type of desirable condition dozens of folk try to replicate; this example is completely original and thus proves hugely suggestive of its former life.
