Two Late 19thC Green Glass Apothecary Bottles

SOLD

Origin: English
Period: Twentieth Century
Provenance: Unknown
Date: c.1890
Circumference: 10 inches
Height: 8 inches

Both of fluted design, with what would have been an inset label of black lettering on a red ground with gilt border; however the labels have sadly all but perished leaving blank insets. One of the bottles does have remnants of a label but is now reduced to a mysterious whisper of what the vessel might have once contained.

Thus, to identify the contents one has to follow ones nose. We are still deliberating. The rest of the wholes are sound and of good size whilst bearing original cut stoppers.
