The good quality beaten bronzed metal floor-standing reading lamp having an undulating textured shaft with applied spiral collars and shepherd’s crook shaped top, on a domed circular foot with applied stylised foliate ivy berries and leaves, surviving from the last quarter of twentieth century England.

The condition of the lamp is good with no losses. There is some rust spotting to the base. It is in full working order with foot push on/off button.

This piece has some similarities with the work of Mark Brazier Jones, artist, sculptor, furniture maker, lighting designer, and engineer and his work can be found in museum’s around the world, like the Victoria & Albert in London, Museum of Art & Design in New York, and Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, as well as many important private collections.

An unusual, probably unique, and striking piece of accent lighting.
