Depth: 6” (at base)

The original Late Victorian period plaster hand, well modelled with fine details to the palm and in life size cut at the wrist, the whole to a moulded circular plinth and with the original ochre painted finish, and surviving from either a commercial or charity related setting.

The hand and the plinth has some expected wear to the finish but there are no losses repairs or breakages aside from one area of loss to the index finger as photographed.

It is possible that this was crafted to represent charity, in an ecclesiastical setting for example, although it could equally have been a shop display item and it appears to be unmarked.

Quite possibly unique and a perfect way to display business cards or the like.
