The original black painted fruitwood carcass showing the wonderful original textured surface worn thoroughly and consistently with age, the two-plank top having rounded corners over a frieze drawer with original knob handle, the whole raised on well turned elegant ball legs and surviving from the early Victorian period.

The carcass, which is possibly Cherrywood, has a wonderful patina, with a host of character commensurate with its age and use and it remains steady on its feet. The knob handle is original. There is a working repair to one side of the drawer, and some small traces of worm but now inactive.

A table full of character and originality, which could be used as a side or hall table or even a desk.
