The portrait lithograph on paper, mounted on linen with aluminium dowels, depicts the Haushuhn (Chicken) in anatomical form, authored by Volk und Wissen’s Pedagogical Academy.
The learning plate is in good overall order with some creases that would eventually drop out and some light fading to the paper. Hanging on dowels, it can be transported easily and was of course designed to roll up in the classroom. Volk Und Wissen, or The People’s Knowledge, is a German publishing house specialising in educational matter, founded in 1945 in both Berlin and Leipzig, Germany.
Making for an awe-inspiring piece of original artwork and graphic design, this would be an original choice for the discerning buyer.
