The compact late Victorian period pine carcass with the original period black painted finish having an arrangement of three long drawers sitting on bun feet and with the original cast metal drop handles.

The draws glide relatively smoothly, the whole sturdy and in good original order. The paintwork, commensurate with age has quite a few areas of flaking and loss, showing the pine underneath, though this is of course part of the appeal. Structurally she is sound with no areas of concern. The top has some old flecks of white paint. The feet and handles are all original.

It is always a pleasure to find old paintwork, especially in black, on a useable, well proportioned and attractive chest of drawers such as this.
