Origin: English Period: Early Twentieth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c.1900-1930 Height: 32.5” Diameter at Top: 8” tapering to 7.25” square
The very decorative painted pine pedestal having a baluster shaped mid-section to a square top and base showing an attractive soft teal green painted finish, worn commensurate with use, survives from the first quarter of the twentieth century.
The column is in fair to good overall order, it doesn’t show any losses or cracks whilst it does have some side to side movement to it due to it being constructed in several different parts, so if one wanted to use it for a particularly heavy piece of sculpture it may need to be stabilised further first.
