Presenting a banner of thin, soft fabric in swallowtail shape dyed in the colours of the British or indeed French flag, with general sunlight fade to the colours. There are some small rips and stains consummate with the flags age.
Discovered in an old suitcase containing bunting, fabric and British flags, the genuine fade on the medieval style standard or swallow shape material makes this piece of fabric tell a rich historical story of early twentieth century England. It was used to celebrate victory in the war in tandem with the bunting and Union Jacks.
A textile of real age and beauty that once flew proudly in victory.
