The good quality brass standard or floor lamp with a reeded adjustable telescopic central column to a weighted square plinth base with four stylised feet, presented with a contemporary midnight blue shade, survives from the first quarter of twentieth century England in the neo-classical taste.

The condition of the lamp is well lived in but thoroughly evocative. We have had her fully re-wired so she is now working perfectly and has been PAT tested, being provided with braided cable. The lamp shade is of good quality and is contemporary. There are several deficiencies to the brass surface to note; with knocks and some areas of green verdegris, though all entirely in keeping with age. The telescopic column is in fully working order with a screwing pin to tighten when set to the desired height.

This type of lamp is actually rather hard to find, of this age and style, and is presented in just the right condition, all with a good quality feel.
