The very well modelled and large life size cast stone wheaten terrier, in sitting position with the head tilted upward in obedience, having a closed mouth, the eyes clear of the notorious shaggy hair, the whole of hyper-real form and surviving from the middle to later part of the twentieth century.

The hound is heavy and has weathering commensurate with being outside; he remains very stable though there are two repairs; one to one front paw and one to the tail. This is not a design we have ever come across on the market before.

The Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier is a pure breed terrier originating from Ireland. Wheatens typically have one of two coat types: Irish or Heavy. The Irish coat is generally silkier and wavier than the Heavy, or American coat, which is thicker and fuller.

A charming addition to any home that favours the shaggy dog look.
