The rare pair of carved giltwood oval wall mirrors, the frames each with a ribbon tied floral garland crestings, the wholes with their original(?) mirror plates being predominantly clear, surviving from the zeniths of nineteenth century France.

The mirrors are in original order and remain attractive in their originality and the fact they have not been re-gilded or meddled with. Some of the cresting has some small historic repairs. They are ready to hang.

Ribbon or bows such as this were a popular decorative motif on furniture both in the Regency period and then later in the century almost always strictly in France.

Very hard to find as a pair, a real treat.
