Beautifully proportioned, the chest, with ebony inlaid frieze above two short and three long drawers sitting on French splayed bracket feet with attractively shaped aprons to the sides and centre.

The cock-beaded and cedar lined draws glide smoothly whilst the handles and brass inserts are all original; in fact the piece is in a spectacular primary condition, only the top has been re-polished.

The ever so slightly eccentric ebony inlaid arrow motifs present in the frieze signal a Regency influence, pointing its date to the early Victorian era with the inlay continuing to border the top and also at the feet. This wonderful frieze adds a splash of individuality, which sets this chest out from others of its kin.
