The three-piece farmhouse pine top over a single drawer, raised on apple green painted square tapering legs, the distress to the paint commensurate with age survives from the early nineteenth century.

The rustic pine top has a wonderful patina, with a host of character blemishes, knife marks and old stains, commensurate with its age and heavy use. There have been one or two structural repairs. The legs have at some stage been fitted with castors and these have then again been removed and the ends of the legs have been retipped and painted in a darker green. This aside it remains in an original state and has been professionally waxed by us.

This well loved and evocative piece could be used as a side, dressing or writing table as well as a serving one and is quite an early example of antique pine. Charming.
