Origin: Possibly German
Period: Early Twentieth Century
Height: 13 inches
Length: 21 inches
A very sweet mohair and wool filled canvas standing teddy bear, standing on four legs, the pronounced muzzle and vertically stitched nose with elongated central stitches possibly indicating early German manufacture. He is incredibly cute and has been well-loved, but looks a little forlorn, and does need some TLC, he is missing quite a bit of the mohair, and his eyes are absent (these could easily be replaced), and his back left paw has had the pad replaced.
Nonetheless a scarce bear, early, large, and very collectable. He would grace any serious collection.
