Of an attractive smooth oval form, the button hook (simply thread it through the button hole, grab the button, and pull it through - greatly speeds dressing, and handy for those with one arm), and pencil neatly retractable into the body using the sliders at the sides.
Unfortunately the pencil is without any lead, but this is still a neat, curious object, made at a time where there was an essential little tool for every conceivable task in the home.
